Where can you find an iTunes backup on a Windows computer? Since there is a large distribution of windows users in 7/8/10 nowadays, we have given the corresponding paths for different computer models.
For Windows 10 users, you can find it under path: C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ or C:\Users\Your username\Apple\MobileSync\Backup\
For Windows 7/8 users, you can find it under path: Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup/
At the same time, no matter what your computer model is, you can use “Search Bar” on your PC to search “%appdata%”, and then go to Apple Computer > Mobile Sync > Backup, to find all backups files on your Windows computer.
Windows systems will treat the App Data, AppData directories, and their contents (including iPhone backup) as “Hidden”. Thus, to check the documents, you will be required to enable “Show Hidden Files” within Windows Explorer.
On a Mac, whether in OS High Sierra or new released macOS Mojave, the default location should be: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
You can use Spotlight to the above location quickly: Go to Finder menu bar > Go > Go to Folder…, > Type into the location > Click Go.
Of course, there is another way to locate a specific backup:
Step 1. Open iTunes > Click Preferences.
Step 2. Under the Devices tab, you can view different backup files and backup times.
Step 3. Right-click one backup > Choose Show in Finder.
