5G Effects – Does 5G has Risks on Human Body

With the latest 5G technology soon to be rolled out worldwide, people have started to show concerns as to what the effects of 5G on the human body are. This post discusses whether the 5G technology poses health issues and how if it does.

When a new technology comes out, it is exciting for most users as they get to try out some of the advanced features on their devices. However, sometimes, the technology comes with various concerns with health being the biggie. Now, with more and more 5G phones are available, most carriers are rolling out their 5G services, people are worried if 5G poses cancer or any other risks. This post will tell you about the effects of 5G on the human body.

5G Network Concerns

5G Network Concerns

Before you go ahead and find out what bad effects this technology could have on your health, you need to find out what the concerns are that people have about 5G. You will discover these concerns as well as the effects that this technology will have on you and the people around you.

What are the Concerns

There are many concerns surrounding the latest 5G technology with cancer being the main concern for many people. There have been many groups of people who have raised concerns that 5G poses a cancer risk and that people could die of it.

The other concern people have with regard to 5G is radiation. Since this latest technology uses different types of communication cells than its predecessors, some people believe that it can cause radiation on the human body and that it can affect people’s health.

Does 5G has Bad Health Effects on Human Body

Concerns are concerns and they may or may not represent reality. Realistically, there has not been much evidence that says the 5G technology could have bad effects on the human body.

Many organizations including the WHO (World Health Organization) have not been able to fully prove that 5G indeed causes cancer in humans. It says there are no adverse effects of this mobile communication technology on humans.

To date, and after much research performed, no adverse health effect has been causally linked with exposure to wireless technologies. Health-related conclusions are drawn from studies performed across the entire radio spectrum but, so far, only a few studies have been carried out at the frequencies to be used by 5G.

That is largely because the 5G technology uses more transmitters but lower frequencies. WHO also says, “As the frequency increases, there is less penetration into the body tissues and absorption of the energy becomes more confined to the surface of the body (skin and eye). Provided that the overall exposure remains below international guidelines, no consequences for public health are anticipated.” What that means is that it needs to use fewer waves compared to the previous generations. Because of this change in waves, it is actually less harmful to people than previous generations like 4G and 3G.

The waves that 5G uses are non-ionizing meaning they are not strong enough to damage the human DNA and cause any unwanted issues like cancer. Even when it comes to 5G heating people up, there is not any evidence to support this. The 5G uses microwave like waves with so much less power than these waves really cannot heat up any objects or humans.

WHO Gives the Exposure Guidelines

Two international bodies produce exposure guidelines on electromagnetic fields. Many countries currently adhere to the guidelines recommended by:

  • The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection.
  • The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, through the International Committee on Electromagnetic Safety.
  • These guidelines are not technology-specific. They cover radio frequencies up to 300 GHz, including the frequencies under discussion for 5G.

Conclusion

If you have any safety concerns regarding the latest 5G technology, the above post gives you more information about the safety protocols of 5G and tells you if it is really harmful to you and the people around you.
