Fix Unrecognized Mouse Keyboard Inputs in Recordings

If your recording includes mouse clicks, movements, or shortcut key presses but they do not appear in the recorded content, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Part 1. How to Fix Unrecognized Mouse or Keyboard Inputs on Windows

If your recording does not capture mouse movements, clicks, or shortcut key presses, ensure these actions are performed during recording and that your mouse and keyboard are properly connected. This issue may occur if the recording software is running with administrator privileges while FocuSee is not, as system security restrictions prevent applications without administrator privileges from capturing input events from those running with elevated permissions. To fix this, follow the steps below to run FocuSee as an administrator.

1. Always Run the Application as an Administrator.

a. Locate the FocuSee shortcut or .exe file.

b. Right-click and select Properties.

c. Go to the Compatibility tab.

d. Check Run this program as an administrator.

e. Click OK.

Part 2. How to Fix Unrecognized Mouse or Keyboard Inputs on Mac

If shortcut key inputs are not captured during recording on Mac, ensure they are performed correctly and that your keyboard is properly connected. This issue occurs because FocuSee lacks accessibility permissions, which are required by macOS to capture shortcut key presses. To resolve this, follow the steps below to grant Shortcut Key Accessibility Permissions.

Step 1. Enable System Privileges.

When selecting a recording mode, a permission prompt will appear. Click the Enable option to allow FocuSee to capture shortcut key clicks during recording.

Step 2. Grant Permissions.

Then, it will open your Mac computer's System Settings - Privacy & Security settings - Accessibility to complete the Accessibility Permission Authorization. After authorization, please restart FocuSee to ensure that the permission authorization is successful.
