Transfer WhatsApp Data |
Before you start transferring WhatsApp chats, get the tool downloaded on your computer. Please make sure the network is stable while downloading and installing DroidKit.
Please launch DroidKit on your computer. Hover the mouse over Data Manager section and tab WhatsApp Manager function.
In next screen interface, please tab WhatsApp to Device mode.
The screen below will display and request you to connect your devices. Your iPhone and Android need to be connected to the computer via USB cables.
Once your phones are detected, you will see the source and target device connected screen. Click Tranfer Now button.
1. If your Android device is not recognized, you can also refer to this page to fix the issue.
2. If your iPhone is not detected, you may try these troubleshooting steps to solve this problem.
The WhatsApp chats on Android need to be backed up to Google Drive at for data safety. Please follow the instructions on app screen to complete the settings on your Android phone. Open WhatsApp on your Android device – tap 3 dots menu icon– Settings – Chats – Chat backup - select Only when I tab Backup for Back up to Google Drive and tab Back up. After configure the settings, please click Next.
The WhatsApp data on iPhone will be backed up automatically.
Backup encryption needs to be disabled in order to back up the chats on iPhone. If you enabled it, please refer to this guide to remove Encrypted iPhone Backup option.
Please log in to WhatsApp account on the target Android device and click the Continue button.
Please ensure WhatsApp app has been installed on your Android phone. If not, please download it from Google Play store.
A previous WhatsApp version will be installed on your Android phone. Please follow the instructions to give access permission. Click Continue on Android phone, and hit OK button on DroidKit app.
A reminder of the WhatsApp app version will appear on your Android phone, please keep the older version and click ok. Hit OK icon on app screen.
For data safety, the encrypted backup of the chats will be requested. Please enter password 1234 on your phone screen. Then, please click Back up my data button.
Once the data has been backed up, please enter password 1234 on phone screen to restore the backup to Android.
The chats will be transferred to Android phone. The transfer process will take some time. Please ensure that both devices are well-connected and keep the phone screens unlocked during the process.
Once the restoration is done, the screen below will pop out. Please go to your Android phone to check whether the WhatsApp transfer is successful. If so, please hit OK button. If not, please click Retry icon to restore the backup.
If the transferring process completes, you will see the Transferred Successfully interface. To go back to the home interface, please click OK button.

Please follow the instructions to give access permission>click OK to keep the older WhatsApp version> enter password 1234 to back up the chats. Once the data has been backed up, please enter password 1234 on phone screen to restore the backup to target Android.
After it has been done on your target Android phone. The chats will be transferred. The transfer process will take some time. Please ensure that both devices are well-connected and keep the phone screens unlocked during the process.
Once the restoration is done, the screen below will pop out. Please go to your target Android phone to check whether the WhatsApp transfer is successful. If so, please hit OK button. If not, please click Retry icon to restore the backup.
