Back Up WhatsApp |
Before you start to back up WhatsApp, get the tool downloaded onto your computer. Please make sure the network is stable while downloading and installing DroidKit on your computer.
After downloading and installing DroidKit on your computer successfully, please launch DroidKit on your computer and choose the “WhatsApp Manager” function under the “Data Manager” mode.
Then, the following interface will be displayed. Please choose Back Up WhatsApp mode and click the Back Up Now button.
Then, please connect your device to computer (Take Galaxy for an example) with the USB cable. By default, DroidKit will detect your device automatically. If you don’t connect your device to computer or your device is not recognized, you will see the interface as below.
Once your device is detected, you will see the interface below. Then, please click the Back Up Now button.
If DroidKit is unable to recognize your Android device, you may try these troubleshooting steps to solve this problem.
After you click the Back Up Now button, you will see the following interface. Please open WhatsApp app – tap Settings – Chats – Chat backup - Back up to Google Drive - Back up on your Android device.
After configure the settings, please click the Next button.
After you click the Next button, the screen below will appear for backing up WhatsApp on Android phone.
Once a pop-up window shows on the app screen, please follow the instructions to give access permission. Tap Continue on Android phone, and click OK button on DroidKit app.
Then, please tap OK on Android phone and click OK button on DroidKit app screen to continue.
Please enter password 1234 to back up WhatsApp to the computer. Then, please click the “Back up my data” button.
Please ensure the backup password entered is correct, or it will fail to back up.
After that, DroidKit will continue to back up WhatsApp data to your computer. The time to back up WhatsApp varies based on the amount of messages. Please keep patient.
Once the backup process is completed, you will see the Backup Completed interface. To go back to the home interface, please click the OK button. To check the backup data, please click the View button.
